"Minor Injuries Hairmyres Hospital"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Radiology

(as a service user),

Had to take my 5 year old son to a&e on Sunday for a suspected clavicle fracture. We were seen by triage within first 30minutes by a lovely caring nurse who took her time to speak to my son and make sure he was heard.

We had another 30minute wait before we were taken through to minor injuries.

The nurse who seen us (Louise) was fantastic. She took the time to speak to my son and create a rapport with him so he felt comfortable. We were sent to x-ray which took less than 10 minutes. Kate, the radiographer, was brilliant and put him right at ease.

Louise came to see us shortly after our X-ray and confirmed the fracture. She was so friendly and knowledgeable at our visit. She really is an asset to minor injuries.

Thank you to all who helped with my sons care at a&e on this day.
