"I felt safe and cared for in abundance"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency New Cross Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I was admitted to A&E as an emergency patient mid June 2025 and then had a scheduled procedure the day after.

The care from all of the staff was excellent. The receptionists in A&E, the porters on wards and in A&E, the nurses, the doctors, the consultants and specialists were incredible and showed such knowledge, skill but above all kindness. At an extremely vulnerable point in my life, I felt safe and cared for in abundance.

I can’t thank everyone at New Cross enough. You are all a credit to the NHS at a very difficult time in your history. If I lived at No.10 you would have what you are all worth which I know at the moment isn’t the case. Thank you from the bottom of my now repaired heart.
