"We could not have asked for better care"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as a relative),

I have seen so much bad press about the Victoria recently it sickens me. My husband was in the new National Treatment Centre late June for a hip replacement. We could not have asked for better care for him. The treatment he received by Nurses, Doctors, Physios and Occupational Health was second to none. I know that some people can have a bad experience occasionally but this can happen in any hospital at any time. However, i believe in praise when praise is due. I also believe that our NHS is not broken! If people were referred to the right practices for their care, the hospital would not be overloaded, or bedblocked. They can only do their best, with the staff and tools they have.

We were very happy with my husbands experience and he is now recovering well at home. We could not ask for more. We are very grateful that we have local facilities such as hospitals/treatment centres on our doorstep so a very big thank you to the Victoria Hospital and all who work there.

Dear Heather892,

Thank you very much for taking the time to post feedback regarding your husbands recent stay within the NTC.

It is wonderful to learn that you felt your husband was well cared for and the care given was second to none by all members of our team.

The team will be delighted to read the positive praise you have given. Hospitals can be a very daunting place for patients and so glad your husbands experience with us was positive.

Wishing your husband all the very best with his ongoing recovery,

Take Care,

Aileen
