"Toe surgery"

About: Plastic Surgery & Burns / Plastic Surgery Outpatients Area 3A

(as the patient),

An unknown lesion was removed from my toe. This was to be sent for a biopsy to ascertain exactly what it was.

I was delighted this was to be done as I have had the thing for over a year. It was originally considered a blister but when it didn’t heal various other theories were produced.

I was eventually referred to plastic surgery. On the day of the operation I was met by a nurse who was with me throughout the procedure. I was a bit concerned about how much toe would be excised and how well the local anaesthetic would work. Turns out, the worst bit is the anaesthetic itself. Everyone was quite talkative even though they were focused on the job in hand.

Post operation I was guided through the next few weeks. All in all I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable about my brief stopover in the plastic surgery outpatients.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I am pleased to read you had a positive experience whilst attending our day case area recently.

I will share your feedback with the team and I hope you are recovering well from your procedure.

Kind regards
