I was 8 weeks pregnant when I attended the EPAS at Wishaw due to a my baby’s heartbeat not being found when I went for a private scan. When I went to the EPAS unit, I was met with the two sonographers. Both of the ladies were so kind and were so patient with me as I was so upset. (Apologies I can’t remember the ladies names). I then met Fiona, who sat with me and my husband to discuss my options.
I had to contact the unit on a couple occasions and spoke to other members of the team who were just as helpful and kind. (Heather & Michelle). I arrived at the hospital to have a procedure carried out and I was greeted by Emma. She was so kind and helpful as was Fiona. They both kept checking on me and nothing was too much for them. They took onboard how upset I was and frightened but just made sure I was ok, as did the consultant and anaesthetist and theatre staff who were carrying out the procedure. This has been a difficult period but without all these people I wouldn’t have got through this.
