Following diagnosis in 2018 for PC, had periodic consultations/treatment since, up to the present (2025). Had recent serious medical emergency associated with the PC. Now in recovery period.
However, at my last consultation:
It came across from my oncologist that people like me pass away in 2 years, and that despite my certain reservations regarding my treatment, that I should be grateful that I'm still alive after my 7 years! As such despite my recent serious setback , my treatment was likely to remain the same, despite my concerns regarding my treatment. I found the whole consultation pretty dispiriting and dismissive of my concerns. I went away feeling that I didn't matter. Whether this was intentional or not, that's how it came across to me. Very poor and unprofessional all round.
