I was diagnosed with slow evolving type one diabetes. I saw the type one nurse last year about April time and told to wait for my next appointment which was to be after the New Year. Fast forward to June 2025 and I phoned at the start of the month to chase this appointment up, to be told by the member of staff I spoke to that they would email the specialist's secretary and put a rush on my request. Three weeks have gone by since that phone call and I’m still waiting. I’ve no idea if this is normal or if it’s because I’m slow evolving type one, and no one knows what to do with it. 🤷🏼♀️
