My mum was diagnosed with Dementia in 2019, dad was caring for mum throughout this time and prior to the diagnosis, with the help of family we somehow navigated our new normal life with mum.
Fast forward to 2025 when we were introduced to DOT team and the wonderful Margaret. Margaret co-ordinated us through a very difficult time supporting my mum and our family with very difficult conversations, nothing was rushed and it was very much taken at the families pace, in regards to what was best for mum and dad. This was all done with care, compassion and patience as we had to make difficult decisions in regards to our beautiful mum. We had a great team around us and we were given all the information and facts that we needed to ensure mum received the best care, love and attention.
I feel that Margaret has been there to support both my mum, dad and especially myself, it was a great relief to share my thoughts and feelings with her and be assured that I was supporting my dad make positive decisions regarding mums care and wellbeing, and ensuring my dad got the care and wellbeing the he deserved to have and also a loving relationship with mum.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and guidance both emotionally and practically. As I have said to the team, we can't thank you enough for your continuing support to our family. Wish all teams had a Margaret, she has went above and beyond. Thank you all from our family especially mum.
"Continued support to our family"
