"My mother's treatment"

My mother and I recently went to our doctors with the health assistant for a diabetic review where they take your height, weight, feelings on your feet, blood pressure and bloods. 

When they did my mother's pulse it was 102, they then called in a nurse who did it again and got 104. The nurse took the blood pressure and pulse numbers to the on duty doctor, where we received the message that if we felt my mother isn't well tonight we should go to A&E as they were coming to the end of their working day. 

I could see that the nurse and health assistant weren't happy delivering that message, the doctor was nowhere to be seen. This is a woman in her 90s who has been quite poorly lately. I found the behaviour from this doctor despicable.
