"What a great service"

About: General practices in Fife Queen Margaret Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

I knocked my leg when opening car door and burst my skin. It started bleeding immediately as I have very thin skin I felt quite shaken and drove to Dr Egerton and Partners  Surgery at Whyteman's Brae.

The member of staff on reception was so helpful and I was seen by 2 nurses immediately. It was cleaned and dressed, it had stopped bleeding at this point.

Later in the afternoon it started bleeding quite heavily and wouldn't stop. Surgery advised me to phone 111. Was then sent to Queen Margaret in Dunfermline.

Again was seen immediately, leg was cleaned dressed again with a dressing to stop the bleeding. Was told to come back next morning to get paper stitches.

Arrived in the morning and again seen straight away. Stitches were put on and bandaged. Whyteman's Brae surgery now doing follow up care.

What a great service. Every nurse was so pleasant and efficient, As were reception staff at both places. Thanks NHS Fife
