"Dumfries & Galloway Royal hospital - many thanks to them all."

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a bad accident on my electric scooter, I broke my collarbone and fractured 5 ribs n various other cuts n grazes.

I am in great pain awaiting operation possibly on Thursday. The staff here could not be more helpful and kind ,really going out of their way to help me. I have not been to this hospital before so I'm not getting special treatment ,it is a very clean building with everyone looking busy with tasks. One lady in particular Rebecca is working on my aftercare and helping with my paperwork. They have made a horrible accident into a bearable situation. Many thanks to them all

Dear Tony aTong

I am so sorry to hear of your accident and the pain you are currently experiencing.

Thank you for your post and your kind words regarding the care and treatment you are receiving. It is heartening to hear that you are being well looked after and supported at what must be a terrible time for you.

I do hope that your operation goes ahead as planned and that you are soon on the road to recovery.

Kind Regards

Karen
