"Such a calming and reassuring presence"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as the patient),

Whilst pregnant, I attended various antenatal clinic appointments with both midwives and consultants post scan. Whilst all of the staff were helpful, on 2 occasions myself and my partner had appointments with department manager, Bianca.

As a first time pregnant mum, I was extremely anxious and had loads of questions, particularly as my baby was presenting as huge! In our final 36-week appointment, Bianca was friendly, approachable and had such a calming and reassuring presence which helped me and my partner feel at ease and informed about our next steps.

If the remainder of the department is ran the way Bianca approaches her role, then I can only imagine it’s a stellar department. She certainly leads by example and is a true testament to the midwifery department in Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Dear Elsee

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this lovely feedback.

I am delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience here at the antenatal clinic and that all of the staff were helpful. It is really lovely to hear that Bianca's friendly, positive approach reassured you and your partner.

I will share this with all staff, especially Bianca who will be very happy to know that she made such a difference to your pregnancy journey.

Thank you again and best wishes

Jennifer Szotek
