About: New Stobhill Hospital / Dental Service

(as a carer),

My brother who has learning difficulties had to go to the dental department to get an extraction and 2 fillings  He was so anxious that he feeling sick he was given a drink with a sedative in it that the dental nurses Jenny and Jacqueline coaxed him into drinking, and they chatted to him and distracted him they were so good with him he even got cuddles the good news was the dentist who was lovely managed to remove the tooth and do the fillings  l can only thank them all for being so nice and kind to my brother

We understand that attending dental appointments can be especially challenging for individuals with learning disabilities, and we’re so pleased to hear that our team was able to help your brother feel more at ease. Jenny, Jacqueline, and the rest of the team worked with compassion and sensitivity to support him throughout his treatment, and it’s heart-warming to know that their gentle approach made such a positive impact.

I was also delighted to hear that the dentist was able to complete the treatment successfully, and that your brother felt safe and cared for during his visit. Your kind words will mean a great deal to the team, and I will make sure they are shared with everyone involved.
