"Poorly managed practice "

About: Oakridge Park Medical Centre

I’m really disappointed with how the online booking system is being handled at this surgery. Appointments are only made available online for about 10 minutes each day, which makes it incredibly difficult to actually book one unless you’re sitting at your computer constantly refreshing. It feels more like trying to buy concert tickets than access healthcare.

What’s even more concerning is how unfair this is for older patients or those who aren’t comfortable with technology. Not everyone has fast internet or the skills to navigate online booking systems. These people are being left behind, and it’s just not right when it comes to something as important as getting medical care.

Access to healthcare shouldn’t feel like a race or a lottery. The surgery really needs to rethink this system and provide fairer, more accessible options for all patients – especially those who are vulnerable or less tech-savvy.

Went in person after failing to book online and was just handed a piece of paper and told to go to the chemist — no help, no empathy. It honestly felt like the receptionist enjoyed turning people away.

People go to the doctor because they’re unwell, not for fun. Being treated like an inconvenience when you’re ill is soul-destroying. This system needs to change.
