(as the patient),

My gp got in contact with the surgical team because after my surgery late May I was becoming very poorly with what looked like infection in my wound and my gp thought it best I go to the hospital I had the surgery.

It was confirmed I did have an awful infection and I needed admitted to ward 5*7 for iv antibiotics. I felt really poorly but the staff on the ward helped me settle in

Hello and many thanks for your feedback. I am glad to hear that you felt welcomed and looked after whilst an inpatient on Ward 57. It can be a stressful event coming in to hospital, therefore we always strive to relieve any anxieties and put our patients at ease through the provision of patient centred care.
