"The agony and anxiety of waiting is horrific"

I had a biopsy end of April 2025 and still have no results. I am told this is now at Sheffield and could be another 2 months until I get results. I feel this is beyond appalling and the agony and anxiety of waiting is horrific. For anyone waiting to hear if you have cancer, the wait time needs to be urgently looked at.

We are really sorry to read about the long wait you are experiencing to find out the results of your biopsy which was taken at the end of April. It is understandable that you feel extremely anxious waiting for the results to be communicated to you.

Reading your comments, as I understand it, your biopsy was taken in Rotherham but you have been advised that this is now with Sheffield.

So that we can investigate this matter for you and provide you with further information, please contact our PALS team on 0114 271 2400 or by emailing sth.pals@nhs.net. The PALS team will ask you to share some personal details in order for us to investigate this matter for you. We would also recommend speaking to the PALS team at Rotherham if required.
