"Fantastic treatment"

About: Emergency Medicine / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

Cut my knee with a battery powered mini chain saw at 6pm! My daughter drove me from Inverurie to ARI A&E for treatment. I feared the worst when I saw how busy the waiting room was. My fears were unfounded. Within 10 minutes my wound was being cleaned and checked by the nurse, Pauline. Stitching and dressing was taken care of by nurse practitioner, Isla. In and out of A&E in less than an hour. I was back home by 8:15! Fantastic treatment from two lovely people, which is more than an idiot like myself deserves.

Dear lionjn93,

Sorry to hear that a cut to your knee from a mini chainsaw brought you to A&E - that sounds terrifying! I am so glad that you did not have a long wait to be seen and that you were assessed, stitched up and discharged within an hour. I have passed on your thanks to Isla & Pauline who are very grateful for you taking the time to tell us your story.

I hope that you have a speedy recovery.

Many thanks

Jill
