I had been waiting for an outpatient echo since discharge from hospital late May. Whilst at University Hospital Ayr for another appointment for an iron infusion, I popped up to Clinical Physiology to enquire as to my appointment.
Elaine who works in the team was awaiting a patient from the ward and there had been a slight delay. She recognised my anxiety to have the echo done as I’d been told it was to be undertaken urgently at the time of discharge.
Very kindly, Elaine saw me and carried out the echo. This was above and beyond and very good of her. She has such a lovely manner and made me feel very at ease.
I wanted to thank Elaine for her kindness, compassion and dedication.
