"Helpful, caring and reassuring"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as the patient),

What a fantastic place.

My first impressions were very positive, the receptionist was very helpful and the waiting area was very spacious , the pre assessment nurses were excellent, they chatted away which relaxed me before they did my bloods.

Mr Rehman, my surgeon, was very friendly and explained the whole procedure to me, he then asked if I still wanted to go ahead with my total knee replacement. I definitely did.

Less than 3 months I was admitted to have my surgery. The day before surgery my anaesthetist phoned to go over what type of anaesthetic he was using and why, he answered all my questions. I felt a lot more relaxed after speaking to him (sorry can’t remember his name).

The morning of my surgery everything went like clock work ,all the staff were helpful, caring and reassuring . Surgery went very well,  the physios got me up and moving around quickly.

I had my check up and Mr Rehman was very happy with my progress and so am I.

I can’t praise all the staff highly enough, thank you to everyone who cared for me.
