Getting past the reception or once you get a response from E consult all is good. However it is ok for people who have the technology to hand to do on line. But not everyone does. I fear a whole group of people are getting sidelined simply because they have to speak to a person to book an appointment over the phone. We are supposed to be inclusive but I think the surgery still needs to address the communication for people without internet or ability to use E consult. Perhaps a dedicated line for this demographic.
I had an appt with a really wonderful Dr who had read my notes (hurray) and listened. And it was the end of a very hot day and he was still jolly. Thank you. Then today doing a telephone follow up checking new medications. He truly listens.
