"So gentle I didn't feel a thing"

About: Whiteabbey Hospital / Endoscopy Services

(as the patient),

I was referred for a colonoscopy in the Endoscopy Suite.

I was not looking forward to it as it was going in through my stoma and I was quite anxious. I can honestly say that from I entered the unit I was made to feel completely at ease by the lovely staff.

My procedure was performed by Dr. Patterson and he was so gentle I didn't feel a thing and I hadn't taken any medication. My grateful thanks to him and his team in the procedure room, to Nurses Linda, Chloe and Shirley who welcomed me and made me feel at ease.

May I also thank the wonderful doctors and nurses and ancillary staff who cared for me after my operation in Antrim Hospital at the start of this year. To Dr David Neely who performed the operation, I'll be forever grateful to you and your team.

To all NHS staff thank you for the fabulous care you have given me this year.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Whiteabbey Endoscopy. I am delighted to hear that your procedure went a lot better than you expected.

The staff all try to keep patients informed with regards to their procedures as this can help relieve anxiety.

I will be sure to pass on your lovely comments to all the staff you have mentioned above.

Thanks again Pamela
