About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Monklands / General Surgery (Wards 4 & 7) University Hospital Monklands / Medical Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

Went to monklands with stomach pains for last 2 weeks as GP said it was food poisoning . Thank god I went when I did as my appendix had ruptured.

Was seen quickly with accident and emergency who were fab . Admitted to ward 4 that night ,put on IV antibiotics for next 2 weeks when I had to undergo an operation to remove appendix .

My consultant Mr Maung was excellent he truly is an excellent surgeon, special mention goes to Kelly who is an asset to the ward with her caring personality and great sense of humour also Lauren (agency nurse ) you were amazing also Debbie, mags ,Hollie ,Marie and Anne Marie
