I was having my second baby at Peterhead Maternity. With my first I got induced in Aberdeen so I wasn't sure what to expect going on my own. When I arrived at the maternity the midwife was very good, she kept me as I was quick progress with my first and would be the same with my second. It was a very calm experience. They listened to me when I knew what was going on with my body and reassured me and calmed me down. After my birth the care was amazing. They checked in on me and my baby, made sure I had everything I needed and would answer any question I had, and helped me with anything without making me feel like I was troubling them. I couldn't have thanked them enough for everything they done for me and my baby, it was such a smooth sailing process and I felt cared for through out the whole experience.

Hi Lynxch98,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We’re so pleased to hear that your second birth at Peterhead Maternity Unit was calm, supportive, and reassuring.

It’s wonderful to know our team made you feel listened to, respected your instincts, and provided the care and comfort you needed throughout. We’re especially glad you felt supported both during and after birth—your kind words truly mean a lot to us.

Wishing you and your family all the best!

Warm regards,

Chloe
