"Swift, exceptional care involving multiple agencies"

About: General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde Glasgow Community Services / Out of Hours GP Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology (Ward 32) Royal Alexandra Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)

(as the patient),

Well, what can I say other than thank you!

From Dr Omar, at Clydeview Medical Practice Renfrew, to the emergency phone call from an OHGP, to the nurse in the RAH A&E in Paisley, to the staff in MAU and the exceptional care on Ward 32. Dr Blair and her team were swift to get treatment started, scans carried out, follow-up appointment before discharge, and a plan of action put in place.

Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to make my stay as easy as possible. I was more unwell than I realised, needing 5 bags of blood transfused to treat dangerously low hemoglobin levels of initially 31.

I cant thank everyone enough that after 4 days, I was finally well enough to go home.

Dear Fees2007,

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. We are truly grateful you took the time to share your experience.

We’re delighted to hear that from the initial emergency call through to your care on Ward 32, you felt supported and well looked after. It’s always encouraging to know that the coordinated efforts across services—from Clydeview Medical Practice, OHGP, A&E, MAU, and onto our ward—made a positive difference during what must have been a very worrying time for you.

Your kind words about Dr Blair and the team mean a great deal to us all. We’re so pleased that the swift care and treatment, including your transfusions and the ongoing plan, helped you to recover well enough to return home after just four days.

On behalf of everyone on Ward 32, thank you again—we wish you continued strength and good health in your recovery.

Warmest regards,

Nikki
