"Better but not fully well"

About: Gartnavel General Hospital / Cardiac Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

I have atrial fibrillation and heart failure. I have had two ablations in the last fifteen years and they helped for several years but more recently I have been breathless, diagnosed with heart failure and prescribed a suite of meds. Now seeming better but not fully well. Cardiac nurse at Gartnavel recommended I join the cardiac rehab gym classes which I have now been attending.

Dear Bosco,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve experienced a change in your health and you are living with heart failure, and managing breathlessness.

It’s encouraging to read you are now seeming better, though it must be challenging to not be fully well.

As a team cardiac rehabilitation hope that the specialist help, exercise and peer support can assist you in managing this condition.

Kind regards

Karen
