"Giving birth to a fourth child"

About: Peterhead Community Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

My daughter was born in May in the Peterhead Maternity Unit. She is my fourth child but the third to be born there. My pregnancy was managed by the best midwife Natalie I could have dreamed of.

I had gestational diabetes but my pregnancy went without any problems, and because of that the "recommendations" were for me to give birth in Aberdeen but I chose to give birth in PMU.

At PMU everyone treats you with respect, they are kind, helpful and caring. I would never want to give birth anywhere else in my life. I want to thank all the ladies who were present at the birth of my daughter, you were a great support to me.

To Patricia21226,

Thank you so much for your kind words and for making an informed choice to come to Peterhead Maternity Unit once again for such a special moment in your life.

We’re delighted to hear that your pregnancy and birth experience were so positive, and that Natalie and the rest of the team provided the care, respect, and support you deserved. It means a great deal to us that you felt safe, listened to, and well cared for throughout.

I'll ensure this lovely feedback is passed on to the team, and particularly, Natalie.

I wish you and your family all the very best.

Warm regards,

Chloe
