About: New Stobhill Hospital / Gynaecology Clinic

(as the patient),

I recently attended Colposcopy clinic F at Stobhill Hospital for a Loop Diathermy of the Cervix. I was very anxious prior to my appointment but was met by Alison (Nurse Practitioner) who explained why this procedure needed to be carried out and what the procedure entailed. She made me feel comfortable and less anxious about the whole procedure. 

When we went into the room she introduced me to Carole another nurse who would be assisting.  Every aspect of the procedure was explained to me, Alison carried out the procedure and continuously asked if I was ok making sure that I was comfortable. 

The whole process was pain free which I couldn't believe and once it was over Carole made sure I didn't feel faint or have any pain.  Follow up to my procedure was explained again and I was advised what to do if I had any issues.

I just want to thank both Nurses for all their hard work. This is an amazing clinic and we are so lucky to have it in Glasgow.
