About: Appletree Medical Practice

My father tried to get an appointment on the same day as the drugs that he was taking were giving him unbearable side affects. My mother called the practice and was informed that nothing was available and that she should call 111 and they advised calling an ambulance as there were no appointments available. I live in London and I am always offered an appointment when I call 111. Both my parents are 90 years old and that does not seem to make any difference. Why can't you accommodate elderly people with registered health issues. My father has a terminal condition and is taking medication issued by The Royal Free hospital London, their understanding is that His GP is monitoring his health and looking after him. This is not the case , after a recent appointment for a different issue, he was asked by staff how he is feeling in himself? Why is he being asked these absurd questions and why do the health professionals not know anything about his condition.

The level interest in patients is unacceptable and especially dealing with elderly people, it should not be so difficult to get an appointment, Drs should take interest especially when they are seriously illl. These patients should take priority.

Why are 90 year olds hanging on a phone line for half an hour when both my parents worked for the NHS and have paid into the system all their lives. Why are you not treating them with any respect.
