"Kindness, warmth, friendliness and professionalism"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I recently attended hospital for a personal procedure and was greeted with kindness, warmth, friendliness and professionalism.

I am a nervous patient (unjust considering what other people have to go through) and every staff did their utmost to relax me and inform me at every step, especially Karen (Nurse), Dr Curry and Annie.

My biggest fear is anaesthesia and I then I met John (anaesthetist), who was funny, informative, kind and genuine and amazing at relaxing me, even made me laugh as he was putting me under. This man has changed my perspective on anaesthesia now and thank you.

All staff in the ward / theatre room were relaxed (I am sure they are not inside) but that experience has made feel more confident returning. What a team that was working for my visit.

I was not given the answers I wanted but this was delivered clear and concise by Dr Curry which I am grateful for, her delivery is incredible and she genuinely cares.

Dear Elaine397

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback about your very personal experience at day surgery, its good to see that you were put at ease and your journey was a positive one, despite not getting the answers you wanted. I will share your kind words with the teams who will appreciate them very much. Wishing you well in your recovery.
