"Waiting for results"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Monklands / Radiology

(as the patient),

I was sent to Monklands Hospital at the end of May to the walk-in department from my GP. Your time frame has said results are sent back to GP between 7-10 days. I have phoned my GP a few times, to be told no results have came back. This is well over three weeks ago. Is this normal?  As I am getting very uncomfortable phoning health centre together told nothing in yet. My experience at the department was very positive. It was very busy at this time. I just would like the results of the x ray to go back to my GP surgery.

Dear Skye2025

unfortunately the reporting of general x rays is currently taking 8-10 weeks due to the pressures on the radiology service

Please be assured we are working hard to improve these figures as I understand how frustrating this must be

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding your experience in the department as I will share this with the staff

Kind Regards

Claire
