"Treatment was well explained and efficiently delivered"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

I was referred to the urgent treatment centre after calling 111 about a cat bite that had become inflamed.

The staff at Wythenshawe were caring and helpful. My wait for triage was very short (less than 5 minutes) and I was quickly seen after that by a nurse practitioner.

The treatment I received was well explained and efficiently delivered  - a little over 2 hours after arriving I was on my way home having had an x-ray, thorough washing and IV antibiotics and with oral antibiotics to take at home.

The Patient Experience Team thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback on the Care Opinion website regarding the care that you received when attending the Emergency Department (ED) at Wythenshawe Hospital.

It is always good to read such positive words in response to the conscientious work of our staff. We have forwarded your message on to the Head of Nursing and Divisional Director for the Emergency Care Village, to be shared with the staff members involved.

Thank you once again, for taking the time to provide your positive feedback.

Yours sincerely

Patient Experience Team
