Today I used the E Consult System because I am due a medication review before I can order more medicine. I went through the whole system, answering all the questions. I then received a text message, in spite of requesting the use of email, which contained a long internet link. I do not have a smart phone. I then sent the text to my wife’s smartphone and she sent the text back as an email. I was then able to open the link. This took me to an appointment page. Looked through all the sessions displayed and there were no appointments. Later I called the Surgery and was told to call again the following week or call in to get medicine if I required it. There were no appointments available. I suggest the E Consult system be removed as it is not fit for purpose.
