"Approachable and helpful"

About: Dementia and Older Persons Mental Health / West Memory assessment service Team

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Martin, who carried out the assessment, was very kind, and my mom found him to be very nice; she was quite taken with him. However, she didn't fully understand what was going on and didn't retain much information, which wasn't very beneficial for her. As her daughter, this experience helped me realise that I have people to support me with her care. It's comforting to know that there are people available to help. I don't see anything that needs improvement with the service. The GP hasn't been very helpful, but I am supported by Martin even after the assessment. I find him approachable and helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment in relation to one of our services. We are glad you feel supported while looking after your Mum. We will pass your comments onto the Team Lead and cascade to Martin, who, I am sure will be delighted.
