About: Community Nursing Teams / Waterlooville Community Nursing Team

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

I would like to pass on my personal thanks to the lovely nurse who visited my mum to do the continuing care checklist assessment -apologies I did not catch her name.

She was so kind and professional when I was very emotional at being told the outcome of the assessment.

I's been a long hard year since my stepdad died and as we approach the first anniversary of what was a really traumatic event, I think dealing with the shock, then grief whilst having to sort out mum's needs alongside working fulltime has caught up with me.

Whilst frustrating that we can't access any additional financial support, mum's ongoing medical needs, particularly knowing that with the fantastic support from your team we are doing a pretty good job of keeping mum out of hospital, we do know that we are luckier than many.

Mum is desperate to stay in her own home & that's what we want for her, so we will keep doing what we do to keep care costs to a minimum & eek out her savings for as long as possible.

Thank you again for the support you give us as a team but also the individual kindness that members of your team show us. You are all amazing. Thank you.
