I have been an outpatient at Cornhill Hospital for a number of years where I see a psychiatrist due to my mental health issues.
I cancelled an appointment due to having COVID which you are strictly told to do. I then cancelled my next appointment as my dog died. Was told that was no problem. When I received a new date I unfortunately couldn’t attend as I had a work course that had been booked and paid for.
I called and gave 2 weeks notice that I couldn’t attend on that date and was told by the secretary that was not a problem and I was given another appointment.
10 minutes after the conversation with the secretary, I received a text to say I was no longer a patient, my case had been closed and I needed to be referred again. How do I get my medication now as my doctor is refusing to give me it as it’s a controlled medication? Am I now back at the start of the waiting list? Is this how they treat people with serious mental health issues? Wow. Just wow!!
