"Patient, knowledgeable, attentive & kind!"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / Pre-Operative Assessment Royal Alexandra Hospital / Cardiac Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

My pre-assessment was about 3 or 4 hours long  was carried out by a lovely, friendly, professional lady called Mairi in the Ortho Dept of Inverclyde Hospital.

My osteoarthritic hip has been challenging for about 3 or 4 years….and at last my turn has arrived!

Hip! Hip! Op! Hooray!

Mairi’s professional persona put me at ease right away! The questionnaire, the tests etc can be exhausting, particularly when pain is constant & my anxiety was high! She was patient, knowledgeable, attentive & kind!

I have experienced many weeks in hospital due to a few life challenging illnesses, but have luckily got through all of it, because of , in no small part, the expertise, kindness, professionalism and endurance of Our NHS🎉

The NHS has been fortunate to have Mairi for many years….I believe that wonderful humans like Mairi have to be appreciated and celebrated more!!
