I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy today at Antrim Hospital, and I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the outstanding care I received. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, kind, and incredibly informative, which immediately helped to put me at ease.

The procedure itself went very smoothly. Every effort was made to ensure I was comfortable and fully informed throughout the entire process. The team took the time to explain each step and constantly checked in to let me know how I was doing, which made a potentially daunting experience feel much more manageable.

I opted not to have a sedative, and thanks to the team’s excellent support and communication, this choice worked well for me. As a result, my recovery was quick and straightforward. I was offered a cup of tea and toast afterward, which was very welcome – and I must say, the quality was café standard!

Overall, I’m extremely grateful for the professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness shown by everyone involved. Thank you to the NHS and the entire team at Antrim Hospital for providing such exceptional care and service.

Hi, my name is Deborah Poots, I am the Deputy Ward Manager in Antrim Endoscopy. Firstly I would like to apologize for not responding to your feedback before now. I would also like to thank you, for taking the time to respond to the feedback form, as this is very important to us and helps us to determine if we are providing a good quality of care or if there are improvements we need to make.

I am delighted to hear that you found the care you received during your Flexible Sigmoidoscopy experience to be outstanding and that you were made to feel at ease by the staff, that you found to be kind, friendly and incredibly informative. It is very important to us that you are informed every step of the process as we acknowledge the reasons these procedures can be quite daunting and anxiety provoking for many. Tea and Toast is always greatly received after a long fast and it is great to hear you found it so tasty - small things like that matter to us.

I will ensure all the staff are informed of how extremely grateful you were for their professionalism, warmth, and the attentiveness shown towards you as well as all your other lovely feedback.
