"Appointments with Doctors are like gold dust "

About: Magnolia House Surgery

This surgery over the years has gone from hero to zero. By the time you get an appointment with a doctor you could be dead. It’s just made to be so incredibly difficult and I can’t understand that other surgeries in the uk have reverted to pre covid service and magnolia house has not. I saw a paramedic today not a doctor. When I went in the usual visual sight of young girls with trainers on and feet up folded on the chair. So unprofessional. No smile or nice greeting just a look up from the desk.

Paramedic asked to examine my stomach but as I lie on the bed there was a workman at the window on the scaffolding outside. No blinds or privacy (I mean you couldn’t make it up). I was told blinds have been ordered but that didn’t help me in that moment.

Paramedic was very nice and said to help the infection I had I would need antibiotics and they would be with chemist in 1 hour at the latest 2hours. I had my partner collect from chemist as I felt so rough. Prescription not there. He had to phone doctors (nightmare getting to spk to anyone) they said a doctor needs to sigh the prescription. As I am so bad he asked that this be done urgently. But still waiting. Honestly I have been poorly for 2 weeks and didn’t attempt see a doctor because it’s soooo hard. I wish I had tried harder and probably would not be as poorly as I am. I really do not understand how the surgery is looking after residents in the area. I feel very sorry for those who just want to pick up the phone and make an appointment because you are not able to do it at magnolia.
