"We would not have had the same experience without them"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Lothian Birth Centre Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Reproductive Health (Simpson Centre)

(as the patient),

I would love to express my gratitude to the wonderful staff in the Simpsons, Royal Infirmary Edinburgh. I gave birth to my son towards the end of May 2025 and could not have experienced a more caring and supportive environment- from the ward to the delivery room.

Every individual who helped us was compassionate, patient and kind. I have been positively overwhelmed when reflecting on the memories of my time in hospital due to the wonderful staff.

A special thank you to Sonya who was a fantastic support on the ward (pre and post natal) and to Amy and Cerys during delivery. We would not have had the same experience without them.

Please pass this on if you can. I have been thinking of them since birth and would love to express my thanks.

Thank you for taking time to post such lovely feedback regarding the compassionate, kind care you experienced whilst an inpatient in our maternity ward.

We really do appreciate all feedback and I will ensure this is shared with the team in ward 119.

Kind regards

Pauline Smith
