"I had surgery following a dog bite"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma and Orthopaedics (14- 16)

(as the patient),

Following an NHS24 consultancy, I arrived at Wishaw general. I had a quick assessment, was diagnosed with necrosis following a dog bite abroad, and had debridement surgery the same day. Afterwards my care in the acute capacity surge bed (orthopaedic) section was excellent. I received pain relief when requested and the nurses could not have been more helpful any time, day or night. Even the lunch was fabulous. I cannot praise the teams here highly enough for their professionalism and their dedication to the care of their patients.
