I was met by a lovely receptionist who booked me in, with a smile, and another lovely lady who made sure I knew where I was headed. I was seen by a friendly and reassuring nurse Kemy. She introduced herself and took me through all the pre questions. She was sympathetic to my circumstances and appreciated how nervous I was. I felt like I was in really safe and compassionate hands throughout the interaction. She also used humour in a really good way to make me feel at ease.
I then had a really short wait until I was called by a lovely lady called Grace who did the scan. She was once again, caring, compassionate and friendly, which was reassuring. She knew my history and did not ask me to repeat it but made me aware that she knew of my circumstances. She showed me care and understanding which was really appreciated. She also offered to see if she could sort out a query I raised with her on the day. Overall in what was a very stressful appointment all levels of staff made it a reassuring experience.
