"Joint School is an excellent service"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was very apprehensive about my forthcoming procedure for a hip replacement, but after attending the Joint School I feel so much better about it.

All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The session lasted a couple of hours, and it helped me to understand what I can expect, before, during and after the procedure.

This is an excellent service offered to patients and it really put my mind at ease. Kirsty, the Enhanced Recovery Specialist Nurse, in particular, made the session easy to understand. She was very knowledgeable and answered all questions that were asked.
