"Amazing nurses"

About: Respiratory medicine / Long covid clinic

(as a service user),

I had Covid and was really poorly. My GP contacted the covid virtual ward. They telephoned me on Friday and came out to see me on Saturday. There was 2 nurses who were amazing. On Sunday they brought a box of equipment to do my own sats. They explained everything to me.

On Monday I was feeling a lot better as I had been on the anti viral tablets since Friday. The ward nurse phoned me for my sats and said I was good enough to be discharged. I cannot thank the full team and NHS enough for the care I was given, also my gp. I’m on the road to recovery now, still not feeling my best but I would have been a lot worse without the kind and caring help and advice I was given.

Thank you so much, forever grateful x

Dear Patient,

Thank you for sharing your experience of the Respiratory Virtual wards.

We are so pleased to hear that with the help of the team you were feeling well enough to be discharged.

The team involved in your care would be The CityCare team and we hope that they see this feedback to reply.

Kind regards,

Kelly – Patient Experience Officer
