"Cataract surgery"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I have had lots of surgery to date, never with any problems, but with this being my eyes i was apprehensive.  The team though, they explained everything to me, then the doctor told me too, we chatted throughout and had a bit of a laugh - I am known as a joker.  I was given a cuppa and a biscuit - absolutely brilliant.  It was so good that i got home, saw this site and rang straight away.  All going well, great staff and I return in a few weeks for the other eye to be sorted.

Dear januarysd43,

I am pleased to hear you had a positive experience when attending the eye unit, and even managed to have a laugh and a joke with the team. Hopefully this helped put you at ease before your cataract surgery.

We genuinely appreciate your kind and encouraging words. Your positive feedback motivates us to continue delivering the best care possible. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and we look forward to welcoming you back for your second procedure soon.

Kind regards,

Lauren Tyrer

Operations Manager in Ophthalmology
