"Felt like I was speaking to an old friend"

About: Neurodiversity Services / North Lincolnshire ADHD team

(as a service user),

I was extremely nervous just before meeting started but instantly made to feel at ease by Amanda.

She listened carefully to all I had to say and acknowledge what I was saying through active listening.

I felt empowered and cared for by Amanda and each step was clearly explained to me.

It felt like I was speaking to an old friend through the professional relationship built over the call and I cannot thank Amanda enough for her validation and care.

Hi I am Jo the manager for the Team. firstly thank you for taking the time to complete the care opinion form. Your positive feedback was a real joy to read and I will be sure to pass your lovely comments onto Amanda. As a tam of nurses we are constantly reviewing our practices in regard to supporting our patients through their individual journeys. We feel that by adapting a supportive, empathic, kind and caring approach towards all patients we meet. This enables a patient to feel empowered throughout their journey with the service, as we do recognise that this can be quite emotive at times. Good Luck with the rest of your journey with the team.

Dear 'finally seen 2025'

I can't help but notice your user name and wondered if you would like to offer some feedback on any delays or waits you may have encountered. We always strive to improve and the team are working hard to see any person within our services, within a 4 week period. I would be keen to hear about your journey. No pressure and also no need to reply if it is something you would rather not share.

Kind regards

Steve
