"I think this is a terrific service"

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)

(as a service user),

I was sent to the hospital by my GP as the antibiotics I was taking for a urine infection weren't working as it kept returning. I was taking part in a new scheme where I attended for five days in a row and was given antibiotics intravenously over a half-hour period.

The staff were excellent and kept me informed all through every step of the process, taking bloods and taking blood pressure etc. I think this is a terrific service and should be supported fully.

Dear TmRmNm

Thank you for sharing your experience on Care Opinion.

It’s encouraging to hear that you received such attentive and effective care. It sounds like the new scheme you took part in provided both timely treatment and clear communication, which can make a big difference when dealing with recurring infections.

It’s also reassuring to know that the staff were both professional and supportive throughout your treatment. Initiatives like this not only enhance patient outcomes but also have the potential to ease pressure on hospitals.

I will be delighted to pass on your thanks to the team who I'm sure will be touched to hear your kind words.

Kind regards

Kevin
