"A caring, warm and empathetic nurse"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Trauma Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

Having recently been diagnosed with cancer I have been attending various appointments, all very scary and worrying. I was called into the Trauma Assessment Unit very unexpectedly recently.

On arrival I was met by nurse Terri. She immediately put me at my ease explaining why I had been called in. ( This should have been explained when I was phoned to attend this out of the blue appt, which would have prevented 36hrs of worrying) .

Terri was attentive throughout with her caring, warm and empathetic manner. We saw this in all her interactions with everybody. Although busy , she kept us updated with what was happening. She uses her humour in a very positive way, making us all laugh but never in an inappropriate way. She certainly is a credit to her profession.

Hi

I remember this day, it was very busy for a weekend and it means a lot that you feel the care given put you at ease and I'm grateful you welcomed my humour. I like to get through the day with a smile.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the feedback, it's much appreciated. I'm very proud of our Trauma Assessment Unit and feedback like this goes a long way.

I wish you well in your journey.

Very best wishes

Terri
