"Understanding, caring and compassionate"

About: Victoria Hospital / Paediatrics Victoria Hospital / Theatres

(as a parent/guardian),

My teenage son was admitted to hospital with suspected appendicitis. He was anxious and concerned as he knew something was wrong.

The Drs and nurses couldn’t have been more understanding, caring and compassionate. He was taken for surgery and stayed for an extra night to ensure he was given the correct pain relief etc.

They explained everything well to my son so that he understood the process and knew what was happening to him. Have no complaints and appreciate the effort made to ensure he was ok.

Dear Cara1412

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We’re really glad to hear that your son felt well looked after during what must have been a stressful time for him and for you too.

It’s great to know our team helped him feel comfortable, listened to, and fully informed throughout his stay. That’s exactly the kind of care we aim to provide, and your kind words will mean a lot to the doctors and nurses who looked after him.

We hope he’s recovering well and starting to feel more like himself.

Best Wishes

Lynn Brown (Clinical Nurse Manager)
