"Excellent care during recent admission"

About: Gynaecology / Gynaecology & Early Pregnancy Inpatients (Ward 36)

(as a service user),

I was admitted to ward 36 as I required a blood transfusion. I was very anxious due to previous bad experiences in hospital. Everyone from the paramedics Jamie and Chris, the nurse that looked after me the first night, Laura. The consultant, medical students, doctors who explained everything so well and with empathy and reassurance. The nurse Claire and her student Jo, who looked after me both days during my transfusion. Megan (I think) the nurse that looked after me the second night. Nothing was ever too much bother. The HCA's, porters, domestic and admin staff were also so lovely and helpful. I really had nothing to be anxious about. I was treated with dignity and respect the whole stay. Never made to feel a pest. My concerns were listened to and addressed. I just am so incredibly grateful for the whole team who looked after me with great care during a very anxious time for me. The banter and humour certainly helped too! I wish I had the names of everyone to list and thank them as I think it is so important to get positive feedback in a world where people tend to only give negative feedback.

Only downside was the food options were very limited but I recognise that isn't the fault of the ward.

Thanks again all.
