I have been waiting for today’s appointment in the Gynaecology service for 1 year and 6 months. It was scheduled for 11:30. Unfortunately, when I finally saw the doctor, they were unable to locate the most recent ultrasound I had on 16/05/2025. Without it, we couldn’t discuss the next steps to manage the ongoing pain I’ve been suffering from for such a long time.

As a result, I’ve now been referred for yet another ultrasound, meaning I’m back to waiting once again — for the scan, and then for a follow-up appointment that could be months away, with no clear timeline.

It’s heartbreaking to feel that the pain I live with every day doesn’t seem to matter to anyone. The system’s delays are leaving me in constant suffering, with no real sense of when help will come.
